Agreed! Dostoyevsky should be on everyone's reading list. In high school, "Crime and Punishment" was one of my favorite books.

Interesting how different people get different messages from books. For me, what I got out of "The Idiot" is that even if you are the nicest, most perfect person, the world will just take advantage of you and spit you out raw. So for me it was a bit less about Prince Myshkin, and more about the state of the world.
