For pre-Colombian contact between the Old and New World, there is plenty of evidence for the Norse Vikings of doing it. However, for earlier times we don't have much evidence, but I would venture to guess that at least the Carthagians were able to reach the Americas. However, that last part is only speculation on my part. We need more evidence there to be able to tell for sure.
