From experience, most meetings are often useless. They replace the work that needs to be done, like actually researching or reflecting. In meetings it's about people wanting to hear themselves speak and stroking their ego. Meetings do have their place, however only after a thorough research and individual reflection has been done before. Most of the time that doesn't happen.
