Where I slightly disagree with you is the racism part. While racism does play a part for certain Trump cultists, I think it is overblown for an explanation of the entire phenomenon. I know several brainwashed Trump cultists, and they are definitely not racist. They just have a certain strange mindset, and are incredibly prone to conspiracy theory thinking. I think racism as an explanatory factor for things is overblown. There are many other factors at play.

PS: by the way the customer is always right applies only in the US... in Europe and other places, that's not always the case. :)
