Interesting article!

I got into the Polynesians when I was a kid after reading "Kon Tiki". Although Heyerdahl's theory was probably inaccurate, it did peak my curiosity about the Polynesians. They even had a short-lived settlement out in the New Zealand Sub-Antarctic Islands, and evidence seems to point that they probably made it all the way to South America. And of course legends seem to hint at that they might have sailed into the waters off Antarctica as well.
