Medium needs to start focusing on the readers, that means the people who come here just to read, not write. That of course means incentivizing writers to write articles that would interest the readers enough to fork out those 5 bucks a month. Unfortunately, the current incentives now only incentivize how to make money on Medium and wokeship articles. This of course probably discourages potential readers from signing up.
