Thanks for the book tip and summary of Dr. White's ideas. :) I have been thinking about this type of stuff for a while now. What does it take to be a contrarian and actually succeed. One thing that I would highlight is being at the right place at the right time. There are examples of plenty of contrarian thinkers that came up with great works and ideas, but these didn't take off until later. Of course you also have plenty of "contrarians" whose ideas are retarded (primary example being Flat Earthers and similar types). So to become a successful contrarian you need to be in the sweet spot of having a good idea at the right time, and then of course executing and marketing it.
