Well, since unfortunately we live in the real world, and you never know how something you said even 10 years ago can be used against you. There are people who have had their old Tweets or other posts from ages ago dug up, which ended up causing them to lose their jobs and/or public shaming and harassment. Anonymity on the internet should be a basic guaranteed freedom.
