Yeah, a lot of these bubbles are based on human psychology. It’s quite natural that these will occur based on preferences, biases, or simply geography. However, I also think that human history works on swings from one side to the other. For example from openness, to closeness, and then back. While now we are seeing a tendency towards splinternets, at some point in the future that trend will be reversed, and then in the further future, there will once again be a trend towards splinternets. You will never have a perfect universal anything, or on the other hand everything split up. You will just have swings towards one extreme, and then the other.
