Yeah, that's a shame that Medium has slipped into a writing for writers platform. There used to be a lot of great pieces on all kinds of topics and it seems that they were popular, but then the goldrush came in and people started selling courses on how to make money on Medium, and it went downhill from there. While Medium does need to focus on the writers (incentives + rewards), it also needs to start doing more to attract the readers, the people who are here not to write, but instead to read thought-provoking content.
