Yes, exactly. Medium needs to change. One thing is for writers. Get away from this woke politics and expand towards moderates. I think all this woke stuff scares people away. Also maybe expand towards fiction.

The key will be as you point out, to attract people who don't come just to write, but solely just to read. At the moment, the model doesn't facilitate that. Too many articles on woke politics, too much on how to make money on Medium, too little on promoting other voices.
