Yes, I find this really interesting.

I would venture to guess that most people in the world support some sort of eugenics based ideas, even if they probably aren't aware of it. Abortion of foetuses with severe genetic defects, elimination of some genes causing grave diseases...etc. I think most of these things would get wide support among the majority of the population. This topics warrants a wider discussion from the ethics point of view, because the technology is there or soon will be to do a lot of things.
