Yes, I have been saying for a long time that Medium needs to focus on the readers a lot more. Since Medium is a collection of written content, that means providing QUALITY content to read. Unfortunately now, most of the stuff that I keep seeing is either woke political activism outrage or how to make money on Medium stuff. This drives away many of the average readers.

Also the Medium focus on quantity of articles means that it is filled with a lot of bad articles. The focus should instead switch to quality articles. However, those take a lot of time and effort to write, and most writers don't have too much incentive to write those, since bad articles get a better bang for the effort unfortunately.
